The DLC for Far Cry 6 essentially retcons their deaths. Whether they’re all allies or not, especially considering each game features different protagonists remains to be seen, but it does look like they will play major roles in the next Far Cry game. Well, if it wasn’t already clear, Far Cry 7, or whatever the next Far Cry entry may be called, does in fact appear like it’s being set-up to feature a team-up of some sort between all the villains. How do All These Villains Connect and What Does This All Mean for Far Cry 7? The DLC doesn’t answer the exact whereabouts of Joseph Seed, but it is assumed that he is in his bunker, waiting out until the events of New Dawn. However, what does seem to be certain is that the nuke did happen in Far Cry 5. Unlike the other two villains, Seed is never killed off, at least not until the New Dawn spin-off where players are finally given the option to kill him. The answer to Seed’s survival is already given to us at the end of Far Cry 5. How Far Cry 5’s Joseph Seed Survived and Where Is He Now As for his whereabouts, little is hinted at here though we assume he is still in Kyrat. Pagan’s face is plastered all over magazines, becoming a bit of a celebrity in Far Cry 6. If this is indeed the case, with Far Cry 4 taking place in 2018, it would align with a lot of the references in Far Cry 6. Pagan’s fate is a bit hard to determine, but the DLC leads us to believe that he is alive, as it is shown he is getting up after being shot. How Far Cry 4’s Pagan Min Survived and Where Is He Now He hints that he has big things planned with the scene cutting to credits. The first DLC drop for Far Cry 6, however, confirmed that Vaas is alive and very much insane as he is shown sitting near the ocean’s shore talking to a golf ball that has been sculpted to look like Jason Brody, the protagonist of Far Cry 3. While no faces were revealed, longtime fans instantly recognized the voice belonging to actor Michael Mando, who previously voiced Vaas in Far Cry 3.

However, not all seemed lost as the ending of Far Cry 6 featured a voice exchange between Juan and an unnamed smuggler. That was soon clarified, as the events of Far Cry 6 took place long after Far Cry 3, making it technically a sequel in terms of releases. When Far Cry 6 was announced many had speculated that it was a prequel, and that dictator Anton Castillo’s son may have been Vaas. This eventually led to speculation that the character had survived this, though no concrete evidence was to be found. For many, it was a rather lackluster death due to how little we got to actually spend with him. In Far Cry 3, Vaas is killed after multiple stabs from the main protagonist. How Far Cry 3’s Vaas Survived and Where Is He Now This doesn’t seem to be the case of giving players more closure for them either, as each villain hints at having involvements with one another, as well as teasing their own returns. While many would normally view these DLCs as fun little side content, it would seem a growing trend amongst all three of them is the added twist that they all have survived their original deaths. Those being Vaas (Far Cry 3), Pagan Min (Far Cry 4), and finally Joseph Seed (Far Cry 5).
